As well as working in private practice at The Centre, I work for the NHS, for corporate clients and for charitable organisations. I have also worked for an NGO providing counselling to adolescents.

Psychotherapy

I provide long-term psychotherapy in the NHS for clients experiencing psychological and emotional difficulties.

I offer this service privately, and through a consistent, safe and reliable relationship I explore the difficulties or traumas which may have led people to lead lives that bring prolonged unhappiness, confusion or despair. By exploring both conscious and unconscious processes, and sharing the complexities of each life story, the psychotherapy can lead to liberating and new ways of living.

I have worked successfully in this way with many clients who all bring different requirements; for example, recovering from childhood difficulties, people who feel suicidal or who self-harm in various ways, or people who struggle in dysfunctional relationships.

Sometimes people are struggling with their identity, sexual or personal, or maybe they are just at a place where they wish to explore their lives in further detail.

Counselling

I run the counselling service at the 2gether Mental Health Trust in Gloucestershire providing counselling services and support to over 2,000 staff.

I also provide counselling to corporate clients, particularly in the energy sector and to charitable organisations.

I provide short term, focused counselling and support, typically for 6-12 sessions focusing on personal and/or workplace issues and on changing learned patterns of behaviour and thinking.

Supervision

I am a qualified psychodynamic supervisor registered with the British Association for Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervision
